Grontmij Industry has designed and installed a new Hopper Dryer System for EVAL Europe. This system dries out the plastic pellets which are ultimately used as barrier material in food packaging and for other uses. After the drying process, the pellets are packaged and transported.

The new system is an addition to an existing dryer system. Grontmij Industry handled the project from start to finish; from setting the investment budget, to basic and detailed engineering, procurement assistance, construction preparation, coordination and management, right up to the aftercare required once the system has been started up.

Scope

• Equipment (hopper dryer / vibrating trough / modifications to blowers / air heater / cyclone)
• Instrumentation (control valves / flow meters / level meters / rotary valves / slide gate valve / diverter valves / pressure gauges / temperature transmitters / ....)
